About this event

Let’s soak up the sun and queer joy at one of New England’s most beloved LGBTQ+ beach spots! We’ll be heading to Ogunquit Beach for a full day of waves, sand, and sweet community connection.

Whether you're here to swim, sunbathe, read, picnic, stroll the Marginal Way, or just vibe with good people, there's space for you. Expect chill hangs, laughter, beach games, and possibly a sandcastle or two.

All identities, bodies, and expressions are welcome. This is a judgment-free, inclusive space for rest, play, and connection.

Feel free to come solo or bring a queer friend.

Need a ride or can offer one? Post in the event comments – we’ll help coordinate carpools.

This is a bring-what-you-need-to-feel-good kind of day. That might be snacks, board or card games, shade gear, or just good company. Take breaks when you need them, we’re here for low-pressure fun.

Rain plan: We’ll monitor the weather and reschedule if needed. Updates will be posted here.

Come make waves with us. We’d love to see you there! ??

Looking forward to meeting everyone and having some fun in the sun!

I assume most people will be coming up for the day. Is there a place to park or will that be a challenge? I would be staying in the area, but maybe not near the beach entrance.

I would expect Parking to be a big issue, never been to the beach, but I go out to Ogunquit for the Night life quite often, I can usually find parking, but it takes some driving around. And this is a holiday weekend, so I would expect it to be Super busy! Unofficial end of summer. I have an invite to go to Provincetown, so I will Not be making it, have fun!

Because of issues with parking, I'm going to bring my bicycle and find a place to park somewhere in Ogunquit, and then bike to the beach. If anyone from the NH seacoast wants to join me, let me know.
LewLasher · Aug 28, 2025
I would be interested if anyone knows (before Saturday) a good place to park + ride (bike the rest of the way to the beach).

Re: park&bike

Wells Plaza (Hannaford's), 4.3 miles from Beach Street, has an enormous parking lot

The Maine Pooch, 0.5 miles, 166 Main Street, has 30+ spaces, but might be limited to customers.
LewLasher · Aug 30, 2025
Maine Pooch is charging for their parking. Possible parking at Ogunquit Playhouse, but I'm heading to Wells Plazap

Found another park+ride! Ogunquit Lobster Pound, 504 Main St. Lots of parking, no customer-only sign, and they open at 4:30 p.m.
LewLasher · Aug 30, 2025
I'm now at the beach bike rack - several spaces still available.

I parked the car in the lot behind the Lobster Pond, short bke ride from there to beach

I tried to post this already, but I think it didn't get sent out:

I made it back to the Lobster Pound restaurant around 4 p.m., and my car was still there. About a dozen other cars in the back parking lot, mostly, probably, from employees. Not sure I would push my luck and do this again, but I'm glad that, for this trip, I was able to solve the puzzle of Ogunquit parking.
