The trip report

Written by a member

Oh what a day it was. It was sunny. It was cloudy. It was windy. It was calm there was even an emergency alert on our cell phones from the weather service regarding weather we were experiencing live. The hike up into the Mount Pisgah Ridge and beyond the adjacent valley was a hike not to be missed. From the Mount Pisgah Ridge we could see far to the east and far to the west. I will attach a picture of Mt Marcy in the Adirondacks taken from the summit. Twigs was great company and I look forward to hiking with my new buddy again soon.

About this event

Join us for this refreshing 8.8 mile lollypop hike. We will start hiking on a wide well maintained trail that heads up Kilburn Loop. We will continue until we meet with the Pisgah Ridge Connector which we will follow to the Pisgah Ridge Trail. At the junction of the ridge we will get on the Pisgah Ridge trail in the easterly direction and follow it to reservoir road. At reservoir road we will now turn our overall direction north westerly as we follow reservoir road to connect with the Baker Pond trail. From there we hike up Baker Pond trail back to the Pisgah Ridge Trail and follow that back to the connector trail down to Kilburn Loop. It's generally an easy to moderate hike. Micro spikes will be required just for the sake of safety and preparedness. The hike will take about 4 hours to complete at a relaxed pace. This will be my first hike to lead with GO so I hope to have an excited response from the club. If so we can probably expect more to come.

Yes. I moved it to Sunday and emailed others regarding the change.
