Mt. Starr King & Holiday Pizza party
Sunny Hike to Mt. Starr King
The trip report
Written by Bobcat
It was a beautiful sunny, mild day for an easy Holiday Hike up to the summit of Mt. Starr King. The trail was packed with snow & some ice. Grey Jays & some other hikers greeted us on the sunny summit. There was great views of the Presidential Range.
After the hike, we enjoyed pizza & salad and warmed up by the woodstove!

About this event
Ready to try out your winter hiking gear? Join me for a moderate hike up Mt. Starr King (5 miles round trip & 2200 ft elevation gain). It's Winter hiking season now so microspikes will be needed for traction. It should be a partly cloudy mild day (according to the forecast).
After the hike, all are invited to a Holiday pizza get-together at my house near Franconia, NH. Defrost after the hike with some pizza & salad at the wood stove or enjoy the view of the sunset over the mountains on the deck. Hikers can stay over on Friday or Saturday nights if desired.
