A Fine Day on Hop River Rail Trail
The trip report
Written by vtfred
Jon, Ken, & Fred cruised the historic Hop River Rail Trail in warming sun, +- 28 miles RT, taking in the historic markers along the way. Great start of the biking season, many thanks for Jon for leading.

About this event
Please join me for a spring ride along this 15 mile section of the Hop Brook Railtrail. We'll meet at a parking area just off I-84 and ride the 15+/- miles to Andover and return for a total ride of 30+ miles. An optional ride on the 4 mile spur to Rockville CT is possible at the end of the main event. Riding surface is packed bluestone dust (not asphalt) so somewhat wider tires are advisable if you have a choice. Please bring helmet and water. Lunch spot will most likely be at a Subway/DD or bring your own.
