About this event
This will be about a 9.5 hike on the AT in southern North Carolina. The hike will be north to south and will take about 7 hours to complete. My book," Exploring the Appalachian Trail" calls this a strenuous hike when hiking south to north. This should be a moderate hike in difficulty.
This hike will require a shuttle. The good news is that both trailheads are a very short drive apart.
The trailheads are about 10 miles west o Franklin, NC just off of US 64.
We will meet at the Huddle House in Fanklin, NC. Try to be there by 9:30 AM as we will be leaving the Huddle House at 10:00 AM sharp. I hope to be hiking by 11:00 AM.
