9th Annual AIDS Benefit Garden Party BBQ

The weather was beautiful, warm (high 70s) & totally sunny, a gorgeous day for skinny-dipping, naked croquet, and just plain relaxing at the 9th Annual Garden Party / BBQ and Chinese Auction Benefit at Frog Meadow!

We had a turnout of approximately 100 guys from near and far and the highlight of the day was a Chinese Auction of 30+ prizes worth over $5,000!

With your help, we raised a record amount which will be donated to AIDS Project of Southern VT specifically earmarked for their testing, screening and men's programs!

We are all grateful for the efforts of APSV to support the local gay, bi and questioning male community and the very important work of HIV education, prevention and services provided to those with HIV and their families.

You are invited to Frog Meadow Farm for the 9th Annual BBQ & Garden Party to benefit AIDS Project of Southern VT. THE men’s event of the summer season!

Gay Outdoors is proud to again be the Lead Community Sponsor of this year’s BBQ/Benefit and has generously donated an EMS gift of $50. We hope to see you there! This is a great opportunity to connect with other GO members, spread the word about GO while supporting a worthy community cause!

Come and enjoy the lovely and secluded natural environment of Frog Meadow Farm’s 63 private acres, including the beautiful gardens, hiking trails and swimming pond (pack a towel!). This is a mostly clothed event. Nudity will be allowed for skinny dipping and sunning by the pond but otherwise this is a clothed event. There will be croquet, bocci, and other lawn games to enjoy!

0ver $5,000 in goods and services to be won vis a Chinese Auction the day of the event! Chinese Auction tickets will be available for purchase (16 for $15) at the door and throughout the day. Auction prizes include original paintings & sculptures that celebrate the male form, Vermont Adirondack furniture, travel, lodging, restaurant and retail gift certificates, gay ski week, gay camping and gay ski club memberships, glass-blowing, pottery-making and flying trapeze lessons, gourmet gift baskets and gluten-free pizzas, massage & acupuncture treatments, spiritual & sexual educational enhancement DVDs, professional and aesthetic coaching services…and even more!

To maximize proceeds this event is a BBQ Dinner/Potluck! Several yummy BBQ main courses sufficient to feed everyone will be provided. Main courses including country smoked pork, Asian chicken thighs, and sweet & hot Italian sausages (a vegetarian option will be available). In addition there will be crackers & Grafton cheddar cheese, corn on the cob and watermelon.

We ask that you please bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert plate for 8 to 10, preferably home-made and not pre-packaged supermarket food.

Note that a vegetarian entrée option will be available.

A suggested $35 donation includes a valuable door prize drawing, provides access to the grounds, and a yummy BBQ dinner. To speed the registration process on the day of the event we request that you purchase your tickets in advance. Please purchase tickets by clicking here. If you cannot afford the suggested $35 donation, please join us and pay whatever you are able to!

100% of the proceeds benefit AIDS Project of Southern Vermont. AIDS Project of Southern Vermont provides who provides services to people living with HIV/AIDS & their families in Windham, Bennington and southern Windsor counties in southern Vermont. To these families, the Project offers case management services, advocacy and referrals, and a nutritious food program.  

Volunteers are needed for setup and breakdown the day of the event and will receive complementary admission. Please contact us to volunteer!
