Bigelow Hollow Hike & Swim

16 members had a pleasant, sunny, scenic walk around Bigelow Pond and enjoyed a refreshing swim at rock Island in Lake Mashapaug before the storm arrived.

Let me be your guide since I used to work here. This 3 mile hike will have excellent views of the glacier formed ponds of Bigellow and Mashapaug. You would have to travel to Maine to experience similar scenery. We will hike the Bigelow Pond loop and the Mashapaug Pond view trail to Rock Island, where we will have a snack break and optional swimming. Dogs on leashes are allowed. Alcohol is not allowed. Bring water, a snack, something to share, shoes for rocky terrain, bathing suit, towel, & camera. We will end around 1;00 PM with a late (optional) lunch at the unique ( food & books) Travelers Restaurant.
