About this event

The Purgatory Brook Trail follows the scenic Purgatory Brook which along it's 3 mile stretch of trail has 3 different water falls (upper, middle, and lower). The section of brook we will be hiking on runs through the towns of Lyndeborough, Mont Vernon, and Milford. We will also hike on part of the Wau Lum Loop to take in some mountain views. This is a Dog Friendly Hike so if you don't like dogs running around off leash please don't come on this hike. However, you do not need to have a dog to go on this hike. If you bring a dog with you, you will need to bring a leash just in case one is needed during the hike. If off leash your dog still needs to be under voice control. A link to a trail map (you may have to copy and paste it into your browser): http://www.montvernonnh.us/images/conservation/Purgatory%20Falls%20trailsmap%20final.JPG On link hover cursor on Boards and Committes and then click on Conservation Commission. Then click on town lands. Scroll down and click on TRAIL MAP,CLICK HERE, for Purgatory Watershed Project Wah Lum Preserve.

None of the trip details have changed, I was simply correcting some typos without realizing it would send out a new email saying details had changed.

I unfortunately do not have a dog. I want one so very badly. I LOVE dogs. I am looking forward to a walk with your friends. Oh, and the humans, too!

Weather channel hourly forecast during the hike: temps 62-69 degrees F, mostly sunny, chance of rain 0%, wind 3-4 MPH. I would suggest bug stray for the black flies.
