About this event

This activity is multiple parts.

Part 1 is Camping at the awesome Sesquicentennial State Park outside Columbia SC and part 2 is participatating in the Color Run 5K on Saturday Morning in Historic Columbia.

Part 1

  • Sesquicentennial State Park, affectionately known to locals as "Sesqui", is a spacious, green getaway in the heart of the Sandhills region.

Part 2

  • The Color Run™ event is a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a color crazy day with your friends and family. For our events, it is about participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes toeing the start line. Whether you are a casual morning mall walker or an Olympic athlete, the 3 miles of The Color Run™ course will be the most enjoyable real estate you’ve traveled in a VERY long time.

The Plan -

This weekend is open to anyone.

  • If you just want to camp and not run - teriffic.
  • If you want to run (or walk) and not camp - outstanding.
  • If you want to do both - awesome!!

if you plan to participate in camping - you'll need to reserve a space at the campground.  www.reserveamerica.com the campground direct URL is http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/sesqui/introduction.aspx

If you plan to run you'll need to register to run or walk - that is www.thecolorrun.com/columbia

Saturday evening, those that are camping, we will coordinate a group meal together.
