The trip report
We could not have had a better day for snowshoeing....even if we had ordered it. The air was brisk; the sky was bright and clear, and the company was wonderful. Once everyone arrived, we geared up and plunged into the snow. The trail from the house to the trailhead was mostly along a snowmobile path. Once there it was virgin snow...except for a few small animal tracks here and there. The hike was filled with laughter and conversation. We made a few stops to observe the scenery, take photos and have snacks. The trip culminated with a relaxing time warming up with soup and cider. It was truly a wonderful day!
I want to thank those who signed up but could not attend for removing themselves and/ or emailing me. Your thoughtfulness makes it possible for others to sign up for trips that might have been full. It is this sort of consideration that makes tis organization great.
See you on the trails

About this event
Attendees will meet at our house in Goshen at 10:00 am. Our address will be emailed to those who sign up for the event . We will begin the route at 10:30 to allow everyone time to gear up. The trail does have a few small downed trees across it. They are easy to navigate around. The route will go along the eastern side of the lake and will be parallel to a snowmobile trail for part of the route. Following the hike we will be offering soup and hot cider for those who would like to stay. If there is not sufficient snowfall or in the event of inclement weather the event will be cancelled.
