Bike Ride to Cape Ann **SPLASH EDITION**

We'll do the Cape Ann ride I have posted before, only that this time, by popular demand, I would like to combine it with a stop at the beach and/or the wooden bridge over the Annisquam River, from where we could also jump in the water.

What to expect: 60 miles visiting the towns of Beverly, Manchester, Magnolia, Gloucester, Rockport, Annisquam, Essex, Hamilton, and Wenham. There are a number of beaches along the way, some of them small and relatively secluded (Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester). The stops won't be long because there's a long distance to cover, but do not expect to be back at the starting point before 5 pm unless you can return on your own.

What to bring:

- road bike highly recommended;

- helmet and preferably two water bottles;

- power bar/snacks;

- lunch or lunch money;

- padlock in case we need to leave the bikes unattended;

- sun block;

- towel and swimming trunks.
