About this event
Well if anyone is in town on the 29th, please join me for a vigorous hike at Turkey Run to work off the turkey you ate. We'll descend from the parking lot to the Potomac Heritage Trail along the Potomac. I did the trail to the American Legion Bridge today and without the leaves, the views of the Potomac are stunning. We'll cross a waterfall along a 4 mile loop trail which should take about an hour. Then we'll head a couple miles down river toward Key Bridge. We should finish by 1pm.
Directions:
Turkey Run Park is located in McLean, Virginia, two miles off the Capital Beltway (Interstate 495) on the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). From beltway exit 14, follow the GWMP two miles to the Turkey Run Park exit on the right. Follow signs to Parking Lot C-1. I will be standing next to a green Passat wagon.
