Mountain biking near Kansas City

Intro level singletrack, "the Lawrence river trail" in the woods with twists and turns, ups and downs that are sure to bring a smile to your face. Must have a mtn bike or thick tired hybrid and a helmet. We'll meet at the parking lot at the trail at 2:45, ride at 3:00. Directions to the meeting spot: if you're taking I-70: Exit at the East Lawrence exit, after the toll booth turn left onto 2nd St / Hwy59, then because of detours, take a left onto Lyons St and continue to 8th St and take a right. Follow 8th St over the levee and into the lower parking lot by the river. This is the trailhead. If you're taking K-10, from downtown Lawrence cross over the bridge and take the detour right onto Elm, continue to 8th and take a right to the trailhead parking lot. Rain or muddy trails will cancel this ride.
