About this event

Join Don and myself as we hike to North Kinsman Mt. (4293’).  We’ll be starting off at Lafayette Place Campground, first hiking to Lonesome Lake via the Cascade Brook Trail. Then proceeding via the Fishing Jimmy Trail, to Kinsman Junction and the Kinsman Pond Shelter, and then climbing the Kinsman Ridge trail to the summit.

Trip Magnitude, Pace and Duration:  We will cover 8.2 miles, 2750 feet of vertical and at a moderate pace should expect to finish around 4pm.

What to Bring:  Typical summer hiking gear should be appropriate:  shorts or convertible hiking pants, good sturdy hiking boots with thick socks and a windbreaker/raingear (just in case).  Also bring along lunch, snacks and plenty of water.  Optionally, pack bug repellent and sunscreen and anything else that you may require.

Meeting Time and Location: 10am at Lafayette Place Campground parking area, which is on the west side of I-93.  We’ll be driving a red Mini-Cooper with white roof.
