About this event
"Its Like Walking with Paddles on your Feet". (No big deal).
Join us, and the wildlife, as we trek up Little Cottonwood Trail.
We SNOWSHOE each Second Sunday of the Month.
Bring a pair of snowshoes (just one won't do), a pack lunch, and lots of water. You may wish to bring a camera, a frisbie (?), sunscreen).
Visit www.skioututah.com for details of this event, and all the other "Sunday" events.
The Little Cottonwood Canyon Trail shares its trailhead with the Temple Quarry Nature Trail. The parking lot is located to the right of the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon and behind the large electric sign. The trailhead is at the far end of the parking lot. The Little Cottonwood Canyon Trail follows an old hydroelectric pipeline as well as old mining roads. The trail intersects a paved road and a couple of gates. Go around the gates. Don&rsquot go down the paved road or you may be trespassing on private property.
During winter, the Little Cottonwood Canyon Trail becomes the domain of snowshoers.
Directions
Via Little Cottonwood Canyon Road (9400 South Wasatch Blvd). The trailhead is shared with the Temple Quarry Nature Trail. The parking lot is located to the right of the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon and behind the large electric sign.
