Details
Join Q-MoB's naturalist & our intergenerational hike co-leaders in exploring this easy hike through one of the most diverse sets of eco-systems in the region that features beautiful beaver habitat, incredible bird habitat, wildlife, streams, and a historic lake. Our naturalist will help you learn not just the names of native and invasive plants and trees, but also how they are faring against climate change diseases & stresses, as well as how these diverse ecosystems are coping.
This hike and our delicious after-hike lunch at the Gnome Cafe will also help you connect with an interesting intergenerational group of queer men who enjoy nature and getting to know one another in the series of regular easy hikes Q-MoB hosts every month.
WHAT TO BRING:
- snacks & water
- rain-gear
- appropriate footwear (that can get muddy),
- sunscreen
WEATHER: Please check the weather in East Chatham from your home before you leave for the event, so that you will be able bring the right clothes to deal with any last minute changes in the weather. Weather in the Berkshires can change quickly and it always good to be prepared for rain, wind, & unexpectedly cooler or hotter temps than were forecast the day before. We will only cancel the hike if there is a forecast of a thunderstorm or heavy rain, and we will text you should this happen the day of the hike.
