GET FIT HIKE #1: LAKE MASSABESIC

Our first of four GetFit Hikes to get fit for summer hiking!

Details

Our first of four GetFit Hikes to get fit for summer hiking! Our Lake Massabesic Hike is a 4.7 mile hike leading to Battery and Blueberry Points with good views across Lake Massabesic good for all skill levels! Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Although you are right outside of Manchester, NH you feel like you're in the middle of the White Mountains.

The beauty and quiet of the surroundings is unmatched.  It's a great place to just get away. A fun hike, not very technical.

Bring lunch and some water. Join us for a short hike in the great outdoors for some fresh air and some much needed camaraderie!

Directions

We are meeting at Massabesic Audubon Center at 24 Audubon Way, Auburn NH.

  • From I-93 and points west and north and south of Manchester, take Exit 7 to Route 101 East (Seacoast). Watch for the Audubon signs.
  • Take Exit 1 and go south onto Route 28 By-pass. Travel 1/8 miles to the traffic circle.
  • Proceed half way through the circle, continuing on the Route 28 By-pass. You’ll see Lake Massabesic on your left.
  • Travel 1.9 miles to Spofford Road. Turn left onto Spofford Road for 1/4 mile.
  • Turn left onto Audubon Way (on the corner as Spofford Road veers right).

The parking lot is on the left, opposite the Center. We'll be driving a blue Toyota Tacoma.

Hey Mike and Jon looking forward to the walk. I was snow shoeing it last Sunday when we still had snow lol. I always enjoy the view from Battery point ??

Hey all, after the hike if people are interested. Come over to my house in Manchester. We can do drinks and snacks. Hopefully it is not rainy we can hang on deck. If not we can hang inside. Looking forward to Saturday ??
